Raghuvansh to give impetus to development in Bihar

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">HAJIPUR: After assuming charge of the rural development ministry, Union minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has claimed to have detected a huge deduction of over Rs 1700 crore by the A B Vajpayee government from Bihar development funds. <br /><br />Talking to TNN, Singh, who is also the sitting RJD MP from Vaishali Lok Sabha seat, said Bihar would be made a model state in terms of rural development within five years.<br /><br />In order to execute various rural development projects in the state, Singh has asked the Rabri Devi government to fill the vacant posts of block development officers (BDOs) and circle officers (COs) immediately."In Bihar 50 per cent posts of BDO and CO are vacant," said Singh.<br /><br />Besides, the rural development ministry has decided to establish a mega dairy farm, namely the Hajipur Dairy Project at Hajipur in addition to Patna Dairy Project, added Singh.<br /><br />"The Vaishali district alone yields more than 60,000 litres of milk per day but the farmers gain no financial benefits," said Singh.<br /><br />The Vaishali district administration has been asked to send a detail project of the Hajipur dairy farm immediately, Singh said.<br /><br />Singh also plans to give a facelift to the historic Vaishaligarh and to get the holy casket of Lord Buddha''s mortal remains shifted to Vaishali from Patna. "In this regard, I have asked the state tourism minister to send a detailed action plan," Singh added.<br /><br />"Not only this, construction and repair of Lalganj-Fakuli road has started, thanks to the initiative of Singh," said Awadhesh Singh, a close aid of the minister.<br /><br />Apart from this, Singh claimed that the Congress-led-United Progressive Alliance government at centre would last its full term. "The Central government is more <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">atal </span>than the previous Atal government," he said.<br /><br />He also said that no political differences between the LJP chief Paswan and the Union railway minister Laloo Prasad Yadav exist over portfolio.</div> </div>
